A certified (or authorised) translation is a precise translation of the source text that the authorised translator certifies with a stamp.
This stamp indicates that the document carries legal authority and is therefore valid in court and on presentation to various authorities.
Confirmed/authorised translations are delivered to you by post (and, if you wish, as scanned documents by email).
Legalisation/apostille
If your document is destined for use by public authorities abroad, they may require it to be legalised.
Legalisation of a translation is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and serves to confirm the translator’s signature. Confirmation of the translator’s identity requires affirmation by a public notary.
Legalisation is accorded with an apostille stamp, which conveys legal validity to the document abroad.
